One night in 2011 the cargo ship “EDRO III”, flying the flag of Sierra Leone and had sailed from the port of Limassol to Rhodes, ran aground off the coast near Paphos. However, due to the severe sea turbulence, the boat was swept away, crashed into a rock and remained unmanned, as a result of which it was swept away on the coast of Pegeia, about 10 km from Paphos.

Today the shipwreck, due to its short distance from the shore – less than 10 meters – attracts travelers and locals as one of the most beautiful locations in Paphos for photography and relaxation at sunset!
